Last night..
was leg day at the gym. i’m not as sore today as i was anticipating, which is nice given that i’m going climbing tonight and uhh….legs are important.
tomorrow night is my arm workout. hiking on saturday (weather permitting) and hopefully a day to chill out with my boy on sunday.
we took out rat to the veterinarian on monday and it turns out that she had a stroke. she’s still walking and climbing okay, but one side of her is definitely sluggish. we have her on new medication that should help, and it’s grape flavored so she doesn’t mind taking it. it’s hard to believe i could love something as much as i love her. i know some people think rats are gross, but she’s the sweetest little thing in the world.
i hope she pulls through okay.
Gym tonight. It’s leg day, folks! Holla! I’m all set to be crazy sore and exhausted. I noticed today that my calves look thinner. Thank Jebus.
Tomorrow night is climbing and then gym again on Thursday. Saturday we’ll be doing the hike where I popped out my knee last year. Here’s hoping I have better luck this time around.

took the dog for a walk and played a ridiculous amount of fetch.
today is pretty shit at work. i dropped the ball on something pretty big and now i’m freaking out. eeeeep. save me, you guys!

Ok so…
…last night’s work-out was awesome. i’m beginning to up my weights (which feels incredible) and even though my legs were EXTREMELY sore I still managed to do 15 minutes of cardio (something is better than nothing, right?)
tomorrow we’re going rock climbing (fuck yes)
my eating has been so-so lately, but i just did a nice healthy grocery shop, so I should be okay moving forward.
on a happy note: i’m wearing jeans today that haven’t fit in 2 years and now they’re big on me. BIG ON ME. Holler!
things are progressing so slowly that sometimes it feels like i’m at a stand-still, and then i have to remind myself that getting healthy is a lifelong commitment. so, i’m running a marathon, not a sprint.
